What we collect

• Account data: username, email, a securely hashed password (we can never see the original), and optional profile details like display name and city.
• Listings & messages: the listings you post (including photos) and the messages you exchange with other members — stored so both sides keep a record of their deals. Messages are automatically screened for common scam patterns, and our moderation team may review conversations when investigating reports, suspected fraud, or safety issues. Every staff review is itself logged.
• Orders: for Voltage Market purchases, your name, email, and shipping address. Card details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store them.
• Usage & errors:privacy-respecting page analytics (via Vercel Analytics) and error logs so we can fix what breaks. We don't run ad trackers or sell data.

How we use it

To run the marketplace: showing your listings, delivering messages, sending transactional email (verification, password resets, message and order notifications), preventing fraud, and improving the site. If you use the AI listing assistant, your listing photos are processed by Anthropic's Claude API to draft your listing — photos are not used to train AI models.

Who touches your data

We use a small set of service providers to operate the site: Vercel (hosting and analytics), Supabase (database and photo storage), Stripe (payment processing), Resend (transactional email), Anthropic (AI listing drafts), and Cloudflare (bot protection on forms). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We never sell your personal information.

What other members see

Your username, display name, city/state (if provided), your listings, your reviews, and your member-since date are public. Your email address is never shown to other members.

Cookies

One essential, encrypted session cookie keeps you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your listings anytime. To delete your account and associated personal data, contact us — we'll process it promptly, keeping only what the law requires us to retain (like order records).
